The team for the Sri Lanka visit comprising only one-day internationals and Twenty20 ties, is set to see a few changes from the side which flopped in the Asia Cup and lost the rain-hit T20 match to the hosts in Johannesburgby D/L method.

If Sachin Tendulkar decides to choose absent of what is extensively apparent to be a low-key series beginning on July 21, Ajinkya Rahane is the guy most probable to be named as the third opening man after Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. Indian Middle order batsmen, Manoj Tiwary could be the guy to make way for the former’s come back. Cheteshwar Pujara was in excellent form in the four-day game and is largely considered as more fitting for the longer formats.

One more subject of discuss could be whether skilled off spinner Harbhajan Singh should be given a evoke after having been reserved in cold storage for so extended. Rahul Sharma possible to be absent out if the selectors choose to get back Harbhajan even if it would mean lack of variety with R Ashwin approximately sure of a place.

Medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar (Uttar Pradesh) and Jalaj Saxena (Madhya Pradesh) could be the surprise selections based on what they did for India A in the West Indies.
