A new proof of identity and address for using state government services has been launched named “AADHAAR“. AADHAAR is a biometric identity card under the Union government’s Unique Identity number project.
AADHAAR is a unique 12 digit number bio-metric card, will be issued free of charge. This new bio-metric card will be useful for opening a bank account, to obtain new mobile connection, withdraw NREGS money, obtain insurance policy and obtain ration card among others where it is required to produce identity and address proof.
Aadhaar, has been taken up under phase-I of the programme in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Adilabad, Srikakulam, East Godavari, Chittoor & Anantapur districts.
How to Register for a UID AADHAAR Card in India:
It is very easy to register for a UIHAAR CARD. Just follow the following simple steps:
- First of all, here’s the official UIDAI Aadhar website.
- To get a UID (AADHAAR), you need to fill this enrollment form. Download it, print it and fill it.
- Next, here’s a list of enrollment centers where you can submit the UID enrollment form, get your documents verified and complete the biometric verification.
- After the fingerprint details, photos and other information has been verified, the UID card (AADHAAR NUMBER) will be sent to you in about 10-20 days.
