Tamil Super Star Rajinikanth daughter Soundarya going to marriage Ashwin Ramkumar, son of industrialist Ramkumar on Friday 03/September/2010. The marriage was held today at Rani Meyammai Hall in Chennai. Remenber, Soundarya’s & Ashwin engagement was held at the Park Sheraton Hotel, Chennai on 17th Feb 2010.

Southern superstar Rajinikanth gave away the hand of his daughter Soundarya to Ashwin. Soundarya & Ashwin were finally tied the nuptial knot in Chennai on Friday 03/September/2010 at the famous Rani Meyammai Hall. The wedding was a typical Brahmin ceremony. It will be followed by a reception this evening.

A grand Mehendi function was organised at a five star hotel recently. Apart from family members, close friends also attended the high-profile function hosted by the groom’s sister. Soundarya was looking her best in a dark blue salwar and the beautiful mehendi. When old Tamil hits were sung, Rajini joined in to sing ‘Adho andha paravai pola’, and made the event even livelier. A cocktail party was also thrown in for the guests.

Ashwin is too handsome”, said Rajini, as he gave a small talk on his would be son-in-law. A fun-filled Karaoke session added more colour to the evening.

The 27 year old Ashwin Kumar has a master’s from the prestigious Stanford University in USA and now works with his father in the real estate construction company K S Venkatraman & Co.

Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya is an upcoming entrepreneur in showbiz as she has been handling computer generated animations for various projects through her Orcher Studios and is simultaneously producing films under the banner of Orcher Picture Productions.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sridevi, Boney Kapoor and a host of other high profile guests attended the wedding. Home Minister P Chidambaram & Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi also blessed the couple.

Rajini has himself supervised all the arrangements for the wedding. According to reports the actor has gifted a brand new apartment to Soundarya.
