Moscow, Sushil Kumar an Indian wrestler bags gold in the World Championship and created a history and make the nation proud by his majestic performance.
He earlier had on a bronze medal in Beijing Olympics in 2008, which was second by an Indian. This time Sushil Kumar did it in the World Championship`s finals where he won by 3-1 against Russian Gogaey Alan in 66 kg freestyle event on Sunday to won his his and Nations first World Championship Gold.
Sushil is much happy with his performance and said this win is bigger than the Beijing Bronze, he is hot favorite now and the toughest contender for other in the Commonwealth Games, which are starting on October 03 at New Delhi,
When the match started on Sunday, Sushil advances early by taking a lead of 2-1 in first period of bout and kept cool his nerves and created history by winning the second period to win Gold Medal in World Championship`s.
Earlier, Sushil had thrashed out out Hasanov Jabrayil of Azerbaijan 4-3 in a close semifinal. After getting a bye in the first round, he then accounted for Akritidis of Greece, Martin Sebastian of Germany and Buyan Jav of Mongolia on his way to the last four.
All other Indian contenders had gone out before the medal rounds.
