Salman Kahn has made an investment of 5 % stake in the Gurgaon based online travel enterprise Yatra.com. This investment has earned him the title of Brand Ambassador of the company, and Chulbul Pandey will soon can be seen in the advertisements and marketing campaigns. “Since we are targeting customers in smaller towns, Salman Khan is a great fit considering his mass appeal across the country,” said Sharat Dhall, president, yatra.com.
“This could be first instance where a Bollywood star is picking up a stake in the brand he is representing,” Mazumder said. Salman Khan is the founder of an NGO called “Being Human” which sell T-shirts and other products online and in stores. A portion of the sales will go to a worthy cause supporting the under privilege.
Salman Khan’s association with yatra.com will help him promote his NGO as every time a visit to the website of Yatra.com The company will put a condition on the site for the customers to make a contribution to a token amount to Being Human every time a transaction occurs on the website.
