Republic Day in India 2011

26 January of every year is celebrated as Republic day in India.On this day our national flag hoisted and  anthem sung everywhere in India.

26 January was chosen to honour the memory of the declaration of independence of 1950. It is one of the three national holidays in India, and while the main parade, Republic Day Parade takes place at the Rajpath, in the national capital New Delhi, where the President views the parade, state capitals also have their state celebrations.

On 62″ Republic Day of India on January 26, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at 8am at the High Commission of India at its chancery at Baitussyifaa, Simpang 40-22, Jalan Sungai Akar.                               

The event will begin with the unfurling of the flag by the High Commissioner followed by the singing of the national anthem and reading of the President of India’s message on the occasion.
