Presidential Election 2012 : Cast Your Vote For The Next President of India!!

India’s highest Constitutional seat going to be empty on July 24, 2012 when President Pratibha Patil’s term ends and the search for new President is already started. The difficult part is to find a perfect gem like our former Presidents Rajendra Prasad, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan & Dr. Zakir Hussain. The Election Commission of India said the country’s 13th President will be chosen on 19 July. So, who will be the next President of India after Mrs. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil??

Several names are doing the rounds as nominees for the post of President of India. Vice President Hamid Ansari, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar and NCP leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma were on the top of this list.

Political movement for the selection of the 13th President of India has begun. However, this time, the Congress is only watching as regional players are playing active role. Our Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee’s chances of getting Congress nomination for the post of President is getting stronger even as the party has so far been non-committal. The party has asked Congress President Sonia Gandhi to take the final decision. Now all hope will be on Sonia Gandhi, who is yet to disclose whether she will go with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee or vice-president Hamid Ansari, or announce a surprise candidate like she did in the year 2007.
