The Applicants who have applied for Passport from various offices in India, comes under Ministry Of External Affairs, Government of India.
One can easily check the status of the Passport by using File Number which is given to every applicant, while submitting the relevant document and the government fees at the time of applying.
You have to select the Passport offices for the particular region and with the help of File Number you can check the status of your request, those who filled through Application counters of different Speeds Post Counters and District Cells, note the following information while entering the File Reference Number:
- You don’t have to put “MAS” string and last two digits of your File Reference Number while entering.
- Last Two Digits indicates the number of registration, so select the Year of Registration accordingly.

Submit duly filled Passport Application in concerned Passport Office or in DPC (Distrcit Passport Centers) or in Speed Post Centers.
