The front of the Nokia C6-00 and C6-01 look very similar. When the Nokia C6-00 was unveiled last April, the Symbian^1 device featured a 3.2 inch touchscreen, slide-out keyboard, and more. We simply don’t know much about the Nokia C6-01 because there hasn’t been an official announcement yet.
Nokia C6-01 comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper with dual LED flash, a great enhancement over the previous model, which included a 5-megapixel camera complemented by single LED flash. At the same time, it seems that the back cover of Nokia C6-01 comes with a different design from the one present on the Nokia C6-00.
On the front, the two mobile phones from Nokia seem to be the same. Moreover, the rest of the features and specifications are also similar.
Both phones come to the market with QWERTY keyboards, complemented by touchscreen displays that can boast a 360 x 640 pixels resolution. The connectivity options present on Nokia C6-01 are the same as those on the Nokia C6-00, it seems, including the Wi-Fi capabilities, or the built-in GPS receiver.
The new Nokia C6-01 also comes with Nokia’s Ovi Maps with free navigation, as well as with other appealing features. For the time being, Nokia did not announce anything official on the new mobile phone, though chances are that it would do so in the near future. Currently, Nokia Netherlands lists the Nokia C6-01as available for purchase, but no info on whether the device would be released in more markets emerged.
The name suggests that the C6-01 is a slight upgraded version of the rather popular C6. The new handset incorporates an 8MP autofocus camera and dual-LED flash, compared to a 5MP camera with a single LED on the first C6. However, the name is also in the lineup of an awkward naming convention by the company.
New Nokia model brings changes in its back panel. Apart from that, the set bears Symbian^1 OS, rather than the upcoming Symbian^3.
As per the information, the Nokia C6-01 will be available in black and white versions and the price will be about 280 euro initially.
