In the 34th National Games 2011 closing ceremony that ended happily in Jharkhand, six states remained untouched with Gold Medals this time, These states includes Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland and Chandigarh

State Gujarat is on the top as in case of development index of the country, but they performance is miserably in sports, they only get three silver and four bronze medals while Arunachal Pradesh won one silver and 10 bronze.

Bihar, from which Jharkhand was carved out in year 2000, are in the same position. They won a total 12 medals, including just one gold. Biggest state of the country in terms of population, Uttar Pradesh, won 70 medals, including 20 gold and were on the 10th position in the overall medals tally.

Hosts Jharkhand had finished at number 5 by winning 96 medals, which contains 33 gold, Services were on top of the medals tally with 162 medals, which included 70 gold. They were followed by Manipur and Haryana, which won 48 and 42 gold medals, respectively.

34th National Games, which begins on Feb 12, 2011 ended on Saturday, 26 February, 2011.
