Mohit Chauhan – Prarthana Gehlot Wedding Photo

Versatile Bollywood Mohit Chauhan married Delhi-based Journalist Prarthana Gehlot on 29th June 2012 in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, in a quiet and private affair attended by few friends & family members. Mohit’s wife Prarthana works with an English magazine and hails from Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Mohit’s wedding was held at a hotel in Barog, near Kasauli hills in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh on last Friday, 29th June. Mohit married on the same day when bollywood actress Esha Deol got married.  The 48 year old groom looked quite handsome in a golden sherwani while his bride looked very pretty in red saree.

Mohit was born on 1964 in Sirmaur district in Himachal Pradesh (Nahan). After doing his post-graduation in Geology, Chauhan started his music career as the lead singer for “The Hijackers”, a Dharamsala based band that performed on stage bhe singer came into the limelight with “Silk Route” a band that pelted hit numbers Dooba dooba rehta hoon, almost a decade ago.

He created a buzz in the B-town with his song Guncha koi in the movie “Main, Meri Patni… Aur Woh!” which managed to stay on top of the charts for a very long time. He also gave hit numbers like – Khoon chala in Rang De Basanti, Masakali in Delhi-6 and Tum se hi from Jab We Met.

In his singing career, Mohit receives many awards. He won 2 Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer Masakali from Delhi-6 in 2010 & Best Male Playback Singer Jo Bhi Main from Rockstar in 2012. He also won 2 Zee Cine Awards for Best Male Singer Pee Loon from Once Upon A Time In Mumbai in 2011 Best Male Singer Jo Bhi Main from Rockstar in 2012.

Mohit’s also won 01  Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards for Best Male Singer Yeh Dooriyan from Love Aaj Kal Won in 2010. He also won 01 Mirchi Music Awards for Best Male Singer Masakali from Delhi-6 in 2010. He also won 01 Global Indian Films And Television Awards for Best Male Singer Pee Loon from Once Upon A Time In Mumbai in 2011.

Mohit’s also won IIFA Awards for Best Male Singer Naadan Parindey from Rockstar in 2012 & Apsara Awards for Best Male Singer Jo Bhi Main from Rockstar in 2012 & Zee Cine Awards for Best Male Singer Sadda Haq from Rockstar in 2012 & also Colors Screen Awards for Best Male Singer Sadda Haq from Rockstar in 2011. He also won GIMA Awards for Best Male Singer Pee Loon from Once Upon A Time In Mumbai in 2011 & also won 2 Big Star Entertainment Awards for Best Male Singer Sadda Haq from Rockstar in 2011 & Best Male Singer Jo Bhi Main from Rockstar in 2012.
