Masters Golf Tournament 2010 :Phil Mickelson Won the Masters Golf Tournament 2010

Phil Mickelson proved he can wear his third green jacket after the final round of the 2010 Masters Golf Tournament.Mickelson won for the third time, It was his three-shot victory over England’s Lee Westwood. He also won in 2004 and 2006. Mickelson win was at the 74th Masters today.

Phil Mickelson is your 2010 Masters golf tournament winner.  Mickelson edged out Lee Elwood, beating him by 3 shots on the final day of the tournament.  Mickelson took the lead away from Lee Elwood by shooting 5 under par.  Mickelson’s four round totals were 67, 71, 67 and 67.  Elwood took second place, while Anothy Kim was in 3rd. 

Unfortunately for Mr. Woods, he finished in a fourth place tie with KJ Choi, but that’s not so bad after 4-5 months off work.  Tiger was on hiatus after the sex scandal which rocked his world and the gossip world was uncovered months ago.  Although his wife Elin was not there to watch the tournament take place, Tiger did pretty well considering all of the media attention and buzz about his extramarital affairs.  But then again, Tiger’s a pro and makes his living on the golf course.  He’ll be back again, and likely a major winner yet again.
As for Phil Mickelson, he gets a nice Masters payout for winning the 2010 tournament.  It’s Phil’s third green jacket victory of the decade.  He also captured the Masters tournament wins in 2004 and 2006, and has won the PGA Championship once.  While Tiger Woods was named the Athlete of the Decade, and for good reason, Phil Mickelson has quite the body of work in his golfing decade as well.  He celebrated today’s win with a big hug from wife Amy Mickelson and with his kids.  Congratulations to Phil Mickelson for today’s Masters golf tournament victory!
