MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE 2012

With more than 150 new features, Maruti Swift Dzire is all set to be launched on 1 february,2012. Maruti swift Dzire is yet another fascination for the lovers of small cars. The New Swift DZire will be manufactured at the Company’s state-of-the-art Manesar plant. The new Maruti swift Dzire is 3995 mm in length, 1690 mm in width and 1530 mm in height with a wheelbase 2390 mm and 1000 kg weight which makes it lighter in weight and perfect to fit in small cars category, thus allowing it to fall under 10 percent excise band. The new Maruti Swift Dzire is available in both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variation is supposed to have a K12M VVT petrol engine which delivers 87ps of power @ 6000rpm and a 113Nm of torque @ 4000 rpm and can reach up to 145 kmph speed. While the D13A DDiS diesel engine will include the 1248cc, intercooled, turbocharged diesel engine that will deliver maximum power of 75ps@ 4000rpm and a 190Nm of torque @ 2000rpm.

The new Swift Dzire 2012 features a 4 speed automatic transmission option all along with the 5 speed manual.As compared with the old dzire, the boot in new Maruti swift dzire is quite smaller,and new alloy wheel design is done to give it exclusive look. The outside door handles, rear view mirrors, bumpers etc. all are body coloured on the top end Zxi and Zdi variants. Company claims that the petrol variant delivers an improved fuel efficiency of 19.1 km per litre and the diesel variant promises enhanced fuel efficiency of 23.4 km per litre.

9. To reduce the frictional loss during gear changing and provide the customers smooth and precise gear shift feeling, Detent pin technology has been incorporated.

10. VVT technology that allows the lift,duration or timing of the intake and/or exhaust valves to be changed while the engine is in operation has been incorporated that brings improved engine competence, optimized fuel utilization and lower carbon emission.

11.
