Maruti to launch Suzuki Dzire on the 1st of February 2012

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is is going to launch its Suzuki Dzire on the 1st of February 2012.  The earlier car was a full size three box sedan with the sole objective of being a practical and spacious vehicle. The No. 1 car maker of India has chopped the boot of Maruti Swift Dzire to bring out a new Maruti Swift Dzire Compact Sedan  The new DZire is less than 4 metres in length, which helps Maruti Suzuki to get the duty cut.

The car will have a five-speed manual transmission (the petrol variant will have a four-speed automatic transmission) with synchromesh in all gears and will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The Suzuki Dzire now tucks in at just 3,995mm, just under the 4m mark, which allows the car fall into the 10 per cent excise bracket, rather than the 22 per cent imposed on vehicles bigger than 4m in length.

The top model, ZXi/ ZDi, comes with gizmos like climate control and an upended sound system, which even has two tweeters; the VXi/ VDi has an amber display and manually regulated air-conditioning.
