Bihar Naxal crisis is yet not been solved as Maoists sets a new deadline till 10 am, Thursday, 02nd September, 2010
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has earlier discussed the whole issue of the hostages, 4 police personals with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to take a call on the hostage situation, and finally gives him the full authority to take the decision as per state required for the action plan.
Chidambaran says
“This is for the state Chief Minister to take a call on. Nitish Kumar should do something. He is the man on the ground, he has all the facts. We will support him in whatever decision he takes. But he has not approached us,”
Chidambaram replied this when he had been asked about the hostage situation in Delhi by Press people.
Maoist or called Naxal kidnapped four police personals in Lakhisarai district on Sunday, after gun war. Naxals have threatened to execute all the four policemen if the state government did not stop seach and combing in Lakhisarai, alog they wanted releasing of there 8 naxalites
The state government has, however, launched a major combing, search and rescue operation in the area. Army helicopters are being used in the operation.
