Madhuri Dixit Nene to Star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Dedh Ishqiya

After a very long break, the Dhak Dhak girl of bollywood is all set to make her big Bollywood comeback. Yes, we are talking about Madhuri Dixit. Madhuri, who last seen in Aaja Nachle (2007) is ready to make her silver screen comeback in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Dedh Ishqiya.

The film “Dedh Ishqiya” is a sequel of 2010 blockbuster movie “Ishqiya” starred Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi in the lead roles. ”Dedh Ishqiya” would be directed by Abhishek Choubey. Madhuri will romance Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi in her nawaabi style with shayiris in Dedh Ishqiya. Kangana Ranaut would be seen in the new film as well playing the second lead.

Dedh Ishqiya is about the adventures of Arshad and Naseer and takes off from where Ishqiya ended. Madhuri will be playing Shahi Begum, a grey character and has been paired opposite Naseeruddin Shah. The character calls for nawaabi style mein ishq ladaana and spouting shayiris.

Madhuri herself made the announcement on Twitter.

“Hey guys, back in action. On sets for Star’s Life OK. Am doing Dedh Ishqiya. Jhalak right around the corner. More to come! Thanks for all ur patience and support!”

The 44 years bollywood diva would also be judging the fifth season of dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ for the second time.

In 2007, Madhuri, who is married to US-based Sriram Nene, was seen in the film Aaja Nach Le, after which she shifted back to the country. The actress returned in 2011 to be a judge on dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. And later decided to shift permanently to India with family.
