The West Bengal government felicitated the IPL 5 champion “Kolkata Knight Riders” team in a ceremony at the Eden Gardens. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) maiden IPL title was celebrated with an open bus parade, in the city. Kolkata Knight Riders Skipper Gautam Gambhir handed theIPL trophy to Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee who held it aloft for the benefit of shutterbugs.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla took the centre-stage at the celebrations of Kolkata Knight Riders‘ first Indian Premier League title win. SRK let the players hog all the attention through the roadshow but once he surfaced outside the state secretariat, it became a SRK-Didi show.
