Kingfisher Airlines asks staff to stay at home



Kingfisher Airlines asked staff at several places to “stay home” due to the temporary suspension of activities in many places, but claimed that he did not dismiss the people, at least for the moment. Vijay Mallya and his Team plans to keep its main subway routes such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai among others, and temporarily out of resorts such as Goa, Ahmedabad, Patna, Udaipur and other.

Kingfisher airlines said it was temporarily suspended operations from several major cities – including Kolkata and Hyderabad – and asks for nearly half its 7,000-odd employees to stay home until they managed to infuse fresh funds. The decision to shut down these centers comes amid strong speculation that Kingfisher would have to come up with a plan on Tuesday and the revival of the name of the investor willing to pump fundsĀ  into the cash-starved airline.

Kingfisher Airlines has reduced its operations in the wake of defaults in payments to lenders, tax and airport authorities, fuel suppliers, and providers to a fund.

“We look forward to various key decisions – the government FDI policies and our consortium of banks to finance capital. They have a huge impact on staffing decisions we make. We want to maintain our staff, who are incredibly dedicated and devoted to under extremely trying circumstances. Our immediate priority is to access our funds to pay staff salaries. Vijay Mallya-promoted Kingfisher Airlines said in a statement on Tuesday.
