It seems that the stars of Shahrukh Khan are moving in wrong directions. After a few flops at the Box Office and his antics at the Wankhede Stadium that earned him a ban from entering the stadium for five years, the superstar of bollywood has now been trouble for allegedly insulting the Indian National Flag.
Lok Janshakti Party National Secretary & Social Worker Ravindra Brahme has filed a FIR against Shah Rukh Khan for allegedly insulted the Tricolour during celebrations that followed after the Indian cricket team won the World Cup on April 2, 2011. Khan was seen fluttering the Indian flag & he ignored the fact that saffron color was at the bottom and the green color was on top.
Bramhe said,
“I was surfing the net when I found a clip posted by a Kannada based electronic channel showcasing Khan carrying the tricolour upside down. Later when we checked, we realized that the offence had taken place on April 3, 2011. The video shows that after India won the World Cup, Khan drove his car (MH-02 BP-7927) from his house Mannat, carrying the flag upside down.”
A police officer said,
“Shah Rukh Khan has been booked under sections of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The case was registered on August 14 and has been transferred to Mumbai police for further investigation. The case documents consist some photos and videos too.”
Recently, Ravindra Brahme had filed a complaint against Mumbai-based model Gehna Vashisht for allegedly insulting the Indian National Flag by wearing it as a bikini. Gehna was arrested on August 18 by Deccan Gymkhana police in Pune and released on bail, the next day.
