Khiladi Star Akshay Kumar Turns 44 Today; Happy Birthday Akshay!!!

Bollywood Khiladi star Akshay Kumar turns 44th today & celebrating his 44th Birthday Anniversary. Millions of his fans in India and abroad & his Bollywood friends have wished him ‘Happy Birthday’.

Born as Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia Akshay studied martial arts in Bangkok and worked as a chef. Akshay married Twinkle Khanna on 14 January 2001. Their son named Aarav was born on 15 September 2002.

Akshay started off his Bollywood career withan action movie Saugandh in 1991. Even though the film didn’t work at the box office but it gave Bollywood its very own Khiladi.  Akshay had to wait a little longer to get his first hit.  Akshay came into the limelight with his first big hit Khiladi.

Akshay had a record of 11 releases in the year 1994. Mohra though became the biggest hit including Mein Khiladi Tu Annari, Yeh Dillagi & Sabse Bada Khiladi in 1995. In 1997, Kumar was seen in a supporting role in Yash Chopra’s hit film Dil To Pagal Hai, for which he received a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award nomination.

His action and romantic films like Aarzoo, Barood, Jaanwar, Khiladi 420and others had all failed at the Box Office.

In the year 2000 he starred in the comedy Hera Pheri, which was a big hit & gives success to Akshay. In the same year he was paired with his then girlfriend Shilpa Shetty for Dhadkan. Dhadkan was a love triangle that went on to become a surprise hit.

In 2001, Kumar played a negative role in the film Ajnabee. The film won him much acclaim as well as his first Filmfare Award for Best Villain.

After Hera Pheri Akshay’s next big comedy Mujhse Shaadi Karogi in 2005.

Namastey Lndon, Singh is King, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Housefull, Welcome are some other Akshay’s hit.
