Indian Star Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who was in United States from last 3 months for his Rare Germ Cell Cancer Treatment, has returned to India on today, i.e 09th April 2012 Monday. The 30-year-old cricketer landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport this morning and headed to his home town in Gurgaon. His mother Shabnam Singh was there to receive him. Yuvraj reached his house in Gurgaon to a warm welcome.

Yuvraj head, which went bald during the treatment, was covered by a red sports cap. Wearing a red T-shirt teamed with Khaki pants Yuvraj made his way toward his hometown Gurgaon.

After reaching home, he spoke to the media persons from the balcony of his house. He said, “I’m happy to be back home. Recovering well.” He said he will be holding a press conference on Wednesday.

After being , diagnosed with the disease, Yuvraj underwent three sessions of chemotherapy and was discharged from his hospital in the United States last month. Yuvraj, who underwent three cycles of chemotherapy at Boston Institute of Cancer Research between January to March, was spending time in London after the treatment.

Soon after reports of Yuvraj’s arrival broke, veteran actor Anupam Kher tweeted: “Welcome back Yuvraj Singh. You are our REAL Life Hero. Your journey and courage is amazingly inspiring. Waiting to see you on the field.:)”

Yuvraj has scored 8,051 runs in 274 one-dayers and 1,775 runs in 37 Tests since making his international debut in 2000

Yuvraj missed the entire Australian tour and will miss the Indian Premier League season 5 due to his ailment and he’s predicted to return to the cricket field closer to the end of 2012.
