Haryana’s Ex-Deputy CM Chander Mohan’s Ex-wife Fiza (Anuradha) Commits Suicide

Fiza Mohammed, aka Anuradha Bali who came in news when she weded a married Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan in 2009 has again came in news as the ex-wife of the ex-Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Chander Mohan, was found dead at her Chandigarh home on Monday (6th August 2012). Fiza allegedly committed suicide and the highly-decomposed body was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

Police on Monday recovered Fiza’s body from her house in Sector 48 of Mohali town, adjoining Chandigarh. The police haven’t found a suicide note but as Fiza had attempted suicide before over some property & personal dispute made clear that it is a suicide case.

Police officials said the body was found in her room in a decomposed state. A Mohali police officer said,

“She was alone at home and insects were there on her body. She could have committed suicide three-four days ago. The body has been sent for post-mortem.”

Fiza  & Chander Mohan Little Love Story :

Fiza (Anuradha Bali by birth) was the ex-Haryana Deputy CM Chander Mohan’s second wife. Chander Mohan had converted to Islam and changed his name to Chand Mohammad to marry Anuradha Bali in November 2008, following which, Anuradha too changed her religion and took the name of Fiza Mohammad.

Chander Mohan was already married to Seema Bishnoi and had three children from her.

After a nearly 40-day stay together Mohan left Ms. Bali on 29 January 2009, claiming that he still loved his first wife and his children and wanted to reunite with them. He is believed to have moved to the Haryana city of Gurgaon at that time. Chander Mohan divorced Fiza over the phone and through SMS in February 2009, only to return to her in June the same year. He converted back to Hinduism and was readmitted to the Bishnoi community at a brief ceremony held at the Bishnoi Mandir in Hisar on 28 July 2009 in presence of religious leaders.

Fiza Mohammed, aka Anuradha Bali is a former Assistant Advocate General of Haryana who left her job to marry Mohan in December 2008.
