Earth Day is a day celebrated every year on 22 April and various  events are held worldwide to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth’s natural environment. Earth Day is a step towards creating awareness among the people about the consequences of various practices that degrades environment. The name and concept of Earth Day was allegedly pioneered by John McConnell in 1969 at a UNESCO Conference in San Francisco.

Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.

Until a man duplicates a blade of grass, Nature can laugh at his so-called scientific knowledge. Remedies from chemicals will never stand in favorable comparison with the products of Nature, the living cell of a plant, the final result of the rays of the sun, the mother of all life.

Don’t be mean, go green.

Don’t be so hollow, or civilization will be swallowed.
