Delhi, Mumbai world’s 4th and 2nd Least expensive cities, respectively



Inflation is at its peak and has affected, everyone across the globe, and to a great extent had impact on the day to day activity of people.  A new Fact has been revealed in a survey conducted that named Delhi and Mumbai,  among the world’s 4 least expensive cities.

As per the worldwide ‘cost of living’ survey by Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Mumbai, the financial hub of country is the second least expensive city globally, while New Delhi, the national Capital is ranked fourth in the list. Zurich in Switzerland has been named in the list of most expensive place of the world.


The country’s caption price rises fell to 6.55 per cent in January 2012, while it was 7.47 per cent in December 2011. In the survey conducted by EIU, three out of four globally cheapest locations belongs to Indian Subcontinent and they are Karachi, Mumbai, Tehran and New Delhi and they are followed by Muscat, Dhaka, Algiers, Kathmandu, Panama City and Jeddah among the least expensive cities.

In the catalog of ten most pricey cities, Zurich and Tokyo are followed by Geneva, Osaka Kobe, Oslo, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore and Frankfurt.
