The CBSE question papers of Class X and Class XII were leaked in the Education Department of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Three persons, including a school principal, were arrested on the charge of leaking question papers of the ongoing CBSE examinations.
The CBSE question papers of Class X and Class XII were leaked on February 17 in Andaman & Nicobar. But instead of canceling the examination, authorities conducted the examination in March 1.
Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Krishnan Raju at Lapati; an Executive Engineer, Rashid of the Andamans PWD; and a Forest Ranger, Vijayan were arrested for leaking the question papers of the ongoing CBSE examinations.
The papers reportedly leaked were that of English and Mathematics of Class XII and the entire Science group including Physics, Chemistry and Biology of Class X.
Bishnupada Roy, BJP MP from the region demanded in New Delhi that the examinations be canceled and fresh ones held. A second set of question papers on the subjects have been kept ready. The examination will continue. Examination for the leaked papers will be held again.
