Cabinet Reshuffle

Cabinet Ministers  administered oath of office and secrecy at a function at the  Rashtarapati Bhawan by the President Mrs Pratibha Devi Singh Patil. Praful Patel, Sriprakash Jaiswal and Salman Khursheed were elevated to the cabinet rank. Mr Beni Prasad Verma and K C Venugopal are the new face in the council of ministers.

Sharad Pawar, who currently has three portfolios, will  be stripped of Food and Public Distribution
