Bollywood Morns at Dara’s Death; Dara Singh’s Funeral Pictures

Wrestler-actor Dara Singh who died on July 12th after prolonged illness was cremated at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu, a western suburb in Mumbai. Fans arrived in large numbers to bid goodbye to wrestler-actor Dara Singh, who passed away early yesterday morning.

A truck decorated with flowers carried the body from his home, Dara Villa in Juhu, to the crematorium. Fans shouted slogans like ‘Dara Singh Amar Rahe’ and ‘Bolo Pawan Putra Hanuman Ki Jai’ when his body was brought to the crematorium, paying tribute to Dara Singh’s most popular character Hanuman in the television serial Ramayana and, later, the Mahabharat.

Politician Kripa Shankar Singh, of the Congress Party present at Dara’s funeral. Actor Feroz Khan, who played Arjun in Mahabharat was also present at Dara’s funeral. Filmmaker Sajid Khan Actor Raza Murad, Fardeen Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Jaspal Bhatti and Anoop Soni were also present at Dara’s funeral.

Actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Tabu, Bobby Deol and Manoj Kumar went to Dara Singh’s residence earlier in the day to pay their respects to the late actor.

Dolly Bindra, who was in Bigg Boss with Vindoo, also came to pay her last respects whereas yesteryear actor Chandrashekar also present at Dara’s funeral.
