Big B to host IPL 5 opening ceremony

Amitabh bachchan after the abdominal surgery is in relaxing state now and is taking bed rest. Big B is likely to make a comeback with IPL season 5, and is likely to host the event on 3rd April at Chennai. To honor the event, writer lyricist Prasoon Joshi has specially scripted a poem and is likely to recite in the event. Starting from 4th April, IPL season 5 will host 74 Matches and the event will continue for 59 days. The final event of the tournament is scheduled on 27th May. The inauguration of the event will also witness the presence of Pop star Katy Perry and a live performance by Salman Khan, Priyanka chopra, Prabhu deva and colonial cousins. Prabhu Deva will be seen performing after a long time, and will make the audience go crazy by perormin on tamil, telgu and hindi dancing numbers. Superstar Amitabh bachchan has not taken any work since his surgery and was prescribed by doctors to take bed rest for few weeks, although he is medically fit. The IPL opening ceremony is good chance to resume work. Katy Perry will  be performing at the Opening Night to be held at the YMCA Grounds, Chennai, on April 3, 2012 and this would be her second visit to India. The opening ceremony will begin at 7:30 pm, however, the venue gates will be open to the audience from 5:00 pm and  sale of the tickets, pegged at a opening price of Rs 1,500, would be on retailing from March 16.
