On Tuesday, Sep 28, the Supreme Court of India declined the plea for delaying the Ayodhya verdict & ordered the Allahabad High court to announce the verdict on 61-year-old Ayodhya title case on Thursday, Sep 30 afternoon.

Home ministry asked the states to strictly enforce security measures in sensitive locations. State administrations are  asked to activate peace committees including Hindus and Muslims.
Previously, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh asked the people to maintain peace and harmony after the verdict. He recalled that the appeal for peace which had been mentioned in the resolution adopted by the union cabinet on Sep 16.
“Whatever be the nature of judgment, I think everyone should make every effort to maintain peace, harmony and tranquility in the country,” said Manmohan Singh.
