Ram Gopal Varma comeback venture, The Attacks of 26/11 didn’t perform well at the Domestic Box Office on it’s opening day. According to Box office India reports the film made a business of about 2 crores at the Domestic Box Office. The Nana Patekar and Sanjeev Jaiswal starrerv opened to 15% occupancy at multiplexes and single screens.
At few multiplexes in Mumbai and Delhi the occupancy was so bad that quite a few shows had to be cancelled.
Bollywood trade analyst Komal Nahata said “The film is a washout. Morning shows in cities like Nagpur were cancelled because there was no audience. Several multiplexes have reported ‘technical failure’, which is a term often used to describe cancellation of a show due to lack of audience”.
The film has passed with an Adults Only (A) certificate from The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The Attacks Of 26/11 is based on the 2008 Mumbai attacks and features Nana Patekar as as Rakesh Maria, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) and Sanjeev Jaiswal as Ajmal Kasab in lead role.
