Argentina win Women’s Hockey World Cup 2010 defeating Netherland in final match

Argentina very easily show the opponent team Netherland way back to home.

In world cup women hockey 2010,Argentina snatched the winning trophy from Netherland here on Saturday,to mark their second win in the Olympics women hockey world cup history.

Argentina beat Netherland by 3-1 amid heavy crowd of 12000 .Carla Rebecchi scored well in both halves and Noel Barrionuevo  converted Argentina’s first penalty corner 4 minutes later.

England on the other hand strive to get the third place,defeating Germany by 2-0.Alex Danson and Helen Richardson played their part well for England.This was England’s first Bronze medal in the world cup championship.

India scored ninth position in the women world cup championship,this was India’s one of the good performance after almost 32 years.India faced four defeats against Holland,Germany,Australia and New Zealand and won two matches against South Africa and Japan.
