“BHEL has signed a contract with Abhijeet Projects Ltd, an independent power producer, for setting up a 300 MW thermal power plant in Visakhapatnam,” a BHEL statement said.
The contract received by BHEL is worth Rs. 630 crore, and includes the tasks of design, engineering, manufacture and commissioning of Boilers, Steam Turbines and Turbo-Generators in the project agenda. Bhel primarily deals in Boiler, Gas generator, Hydro generator, Steam turbine, Gas turbine, Hydro turbine, Transportation equipments, Traction machines, Transformer, Switchgear, Oil field equipments (OFE), Boiler drum and many more.

BHEL is also executing a contract for Abhijeet Projects’ 1,080 MW coal-based Matrishri Usha Jayaswal Mega Power Plant, located at Latehar district of Jharkhand, near Ranchi in order to supply and install the main plant package
