The biggest Dance reality show Dance India Dance on Zee TV successfully completed its third season on 21 April. Rajsmita Kar is the voted Winner of DID- 3. Rajsmita is the contestant of Geeta ki Gang, and defeated Mohena, Pradeep and Raghav. Pradeep Gurung and Raghav Juyal is the first and second runner up respectively.
The Grand Finale marked the end of journey of DID-3 on 21 April, 2012 which was launched on 24 December 2011. The grand finale night was made more special by the Mind blowing performance’s given by the masters of DID. Geeta ma performed on tracks like “dil ko hazaar baar roka: and many more dancing number. Terence gave a rocking perormane on “Sadda haq aithe rakh”, and Remo D Souza hard hitting hip hop performance was infused with freestyle act on the song ‘Zara Dil ko Tham
lo’ from the movie Don 2. Remo D Souza also selected a performer from the audiences and presented him his MJ Band. The Performer amongst the audience who received the MJ band was Omkar. Some of the key highlights in this finale were the ‘Mardi Gras Carnival act’ by anchor Jay Bhanushali and Saumya Tandon.
Mohena won the cash prize of Rs 3 Lakh for “The Most Desired performer of the Series”. The Prize was presented to her by Anil Kapoor, and a trailer of his upcoming film “Tezz” was also shown in the Finale. Ali Asgar added a spice of comedy to this year’s finale. One outstanding act was given by Rajasmita Kar from ‘Geeta ki Gang’ where 24 dancers along with her hung in mid air with the help of a truss. Sanam Johar did a jaw dropping mirror ball act, Crockroax performed his cockrach style act with slow motion and Pradeep Gurung performed on the dancing style parkour and freestyle.
The grand finale of DID marked the end of a thrilling dance journey of 17 weeks for 18 bright contestants from across the country who dazzled the TV screens with performances that established them as the biggest
dancing stars. The Dance India Dance will now make a comeback with DID little master on Zee TV from 30 April and the show timings are Fri-Sat 9.30 pm.
